Tank House
A truly unique property featuring a water tank stand crafted from the decommissioned railway line that previously ran through the site.
This stunning piece of functional art needed to be the focal point for the design. The project brief was of a complimentary extension comprising a new kitchen, living space, bedroom and ensuite. The owners requested plenty of windows to incorporate their passion for the outdoors, so reverse brick veneer was added to the design to trap warmth within the building.
The existing period home was fully renovated and connected to the new build via a timber clad linkway, marrying together old and new. The spotted gum shiplap timber complimented by Monument coloured Trimdeck cladding provides the perfect backdrop for the feature water tank.
